Great news! Decona was selected to participate in Vitus Programme, which is The Trade Council’s programme for Danish companies with a high global expansion potential. Launched in 2010 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, the programme targets small and medium-sized Danish companies that have a high international growth potential and have the ability and determination to expand globally. Our focus for this year is New York and we are excited to see what it leads to.
Our designer wins the Young Talent Award
Happy news – our designer Morten Grønning Nielsen has won the Danish Design Award in the “Young Talent” category with his independent project “Happaratus” .
The Danish Design Award focuses on the value and impact of design. Young Talent Award is given to outstanding talents under 30 years old, who exemplify the Nordic design tradition. Happaratus is a disruptive tool which makes it possible to manually shape hard materials such as stone and wood with more sensitivity. The Happaratus “power glove” extends the capabilities of the hand as a sculpting tool and links innovation back to Scandinavian crafts traditions.
Decona’s brand new office space
Decona has a brand new office. The new office is located on the 6th floor of the modern B!NGS centre. The B!NGS centre is placed in the old factory of Bing & Grøndahl – a porcelain factory which is now beautifully restored and turned into B!NGS conference center and progressive office building. The office is within walking distance from the city center and has a stunning view of Copenhagen, which makes Monday mornings way better.
